1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using RU Player, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not download, install, or use the software.

2. Software License

RU Player is a free desktop media player developed in C# utilizing the WPF framework and the LibVLCSharp wrapper. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and royalty-free license to use the application on compatible Windows devices for personal or commercial media playback.

3. Open Source Components

This software incorporates components of the **VLC media player** (specifically the LibVLC core library) governed by the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) or other open-source licenses. Your use of those libraries is subject to their respective terms. We make no proprietary claims over LibVLC or the VideoLAN project's codebases.

4. Auto-Update Functionality

RU Player contains an built-in update check system. On startup, the application queries an external API endpoint to verify version details. If an update is available, you will be prompted to download the installer setup. Downloading and running the updater will replace player files on your device.

5. Limitations of Liability

RU Player is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall the developers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the software.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be published directly on this page. Your continued use of the application after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
